Puppies! Puppies!! Puppies!!!

This has been a really busy summer and we have been having a blast! I am still trying to figure out where the month of July went. We have been hanging out at our friend’s pool a lot because it has been so hot….I gotta say. I LOVE THE HEAT!!!

Juicy’s babies are getting so big and they are all just adorable. Dolce discovered his voice yesterday. He looked up at me and did a little playful growl bark. It was really cute…I asked him what he was trying to tell me, but I think he was a little shocked a voice came out of his mouth. :0)

I started them on their puppy mush Wednesday evening and that was just plain cute. They all started off licking it from my finger and then just dived in feet first. Oh what a mess! Juicy cleaned them up pretty well, but last night I ran them under warm water to clean them off. They are walking around and playing. They love to climb on Juicy’s head and chew on her ears….they do love their mommy very much. They all love to be held and get lots of kisses from me. I always put them on their back and carry them around the house like babies. Oh yes, and then we sit down and I tilt them up and we play pat – a – cake! I pat their paws together and then we roll them and then we put them up high and give kisses for puppy and me! I have to say….I am totally loving these babies. :0)

We have a little bit of news to share!

Tinka and Foxie are both for sure pregnant!!! Tinka is due on August 13^th and Foxie is due on August 19^th…..August 19^th is mine and Scott’s 10 year Anniversary!! We will be doing x –rays on them at the beginning of August to see how many babies we will be having.

Posh is in heat and we are breeding her to Bam Bam. We think those babies are going to have the cutest baby doll faces ever and they will be tiny too…..I LOVE all of my Bam Bam babies! He just never lets me down. :0) He is a wonderful little stud muffin. He is so funny when we say Bam! Bam! He does a little dance and gets so excited. We love our little man!

We had a long and fun 4th of July weekend. We went camping at our friend's house who had a weekend long 4th of July party. :0)

Peanut will be joining his new family this Saturday so I am giving him lots of hugs and kisses and telling him how much we love him. We are going to miss this little guy very very much. He likes to jump on Jewel and then Jewel puts him in his place. I think she is really going to miss her brother. She does have Jaq to play with though, our new little stud muffin. Jewel and Jaq are quite the pair. :0) Jaq is very silly, he is always sitting right in the middle of the food dish chomping away.

Choxie's babies have their eyes open and they are fat butterballs. All of her babies are very beautiful. I absolutely love their faces.

Juicy's babies are growing nicely. Their eyes are not open yet, but they will be within the next 2 - 3 days! I cannot wait to see them with their eyes open and seeing the world for the first time. I did take a couple short videos of them and just got them uploaded!!!

Puppy Update!

Choxie's babies are starting to open their eyes! I will post new pictures in a few days. :0) They are all adorable little butterballs.

I took Juicy's babies to get their dew claws removed yesterday. They were not happy about that yesterday, but are over it today. :0) They are growing nicely and are all very cute. I am anxious for them to open their eyes....but that won't be for about a week or so.

Here is our proud mommy - Juicy with her 4 beautiful babies! She was pretty tired out after the long night and morning we had but today she looks really good and I think she feels refreshed. She is a wonderful mom and loves her babies very much. :0) They are all adorable. Each one has gained .2 oz the first day! They should double their birth weight the first week. They look like they are starting to fill out a little more. :0) I am going to try and get some new pictures tomorrow or maybe another group shot. :0)

Juicy's puppies have arrived!

After a long night of panting and being uncomfortable, Juicy started having her babies at 8:00 this morning.

The first one was a black and white boy - he didn't make it. The placenta was detached. Part of the placenta came out first and then the puppy attached to the placenta all in one. After working on him for a long time, trying to get him to take a breathe - he didn't. :0(

Girl 1 came second - I am unsure of her color. She is beautiful...small and dainty. She weighs 4.2 oz.

Boy 2 came third - he is gorgeous solid black and a hefty boy weighing 5.8 oz.

Girl 2 came fourth - she is a beautiful solid black and also small. She weighs 4.6 oz.

Fifth and final came boy 3 - he is just adorable -solid black with white markings like his dad. He weighs 4.8 oz.

Juicy and her babies are doing wonderful. The babies are eating really good and Juicy lays by them with her head nuzzled in. :0)

Juicy is in labor!!

Juicy is in labor....her temp is down to 97.5, eyes are dilated, I have her all set up ready to go, she is digging a little here and there and breathing a little heavier...but not panting yet. My guess is the first one will arrive around 12:00 or 1:00. I will be shocked because that is pretty darn close to my original 3:00 guess before! I will post more as things happen here! Stay tuned.....I think it is going to be a long night for Juicy and I.

Juicy Pregnancy Day 61

We are still waiting....anxiously!

Juicy's colostrom is in and her temperature is bouncing around.....this morning it was 98.7. I will take it again tonight. She ate good last night, then kind of nibbled this morning, but now looks at the dish and walks away. We'll see if she continues to do that. She has been yawning alot and licking the air.....she falls asleep sitting up and then catches herself and lays down. I think she is also ready to get these babies out. :0)

Day 59 of Pregnancy

Juicy is doing a whole lot of nothing....she is eating good, her temp is still ranging between 99.5 and 99.9, no milk yet...but she does have a big ol' belly! The babies are very active and she rests alot. She likes to roll around on the floor and then at night she snuggles in with Scott.....she just loves him! He rubs her belly and gets the babies moving and then I play with them in her belly. :0)

I am thinking she will have them late Thursday night starting at about 3:00 in the morning (that is my luck)...she will have 1 every hour like last time. 4 girls and 1 boy - 3 solids and 2 partis - and I am guessing they will all be about 4 oz. at birth. She looks like she's got about 1 1/4 lb. of puppies in her!

Happy Father's Day to all of those dads out there!!!

We have had another very busy weekend here. Alex's Birthday was on Friday, we had his party on Saturday, and then of course Father's Day today. This is going to be a pretty exciting week.....

Juicy is now 8 weeks pregnant! Her belly continues to grow everyday. It is hard to believe there are 5 babies in there. She now waits for me to pick her up to take her up and down the stairs instead of her going up and down them. She still likes to sit by the puppies pen, she would love to be in there with them if I would let her. She loves babies. :0)

Here is a little trivia for everyone.... I am trying to estimate when she will have them and what she will have. I started taking her temperature on Friday so when it starts going up and then drops we know it will be close. Right now she is a steady 99.9. Juicy had 3 puppies last time 2 boys that were both solid and then 1 gold and white parti girl. She delivered them 2 days early from her due date and started having them about 4 in the morning. Juicy is due on Saturday, June 26th.

When do you think she will have them? How many girls? How many boys? How many solids? How many Partis?

Juicy X-Ray Results are in!!!!

I am EXTREMELY excited and pleased to announce that Juicy is expecting 5 babies!!!!
We went to the vet today for x-rays and we found 5 babies in there. :0) She only had 3 the last time, so this is going to be wonderful! Very funny, because when she was just 5 weeks along, I kept feeling her belly to see if I could feel any baby balls and I felt nothing, she didn't look very pregnant either. Scott kept telling me he didn't think she was pregnant.....so to find out for sure, we went for the ultrasound. We found 3 hearts beating so I was happy with that.
Then today we found out there are not 3 BUT 5 babies in her belly!!! SOOOO exciting!!!
She is now on day 53 so we have about 10 days to go. Her belly gets bigger everyday so I am thinking in 10 days she is going to be huge. She gets her special treats now, so that makes her very happy!

Choxie's babies have arrived!!

Choxie blessed us with 3 gorgeous babies early early in the morning. She was finally finished at 3:00 am.
2 girls and 1 boy - (1 solid chocolate girl, 1 chocolate and white parti girl, and 1 black and white parti boy).
Choxie and her babies are doing great. I will post pictures soon!

We will be having new babies soon!!! Choxie's temp is down to 98 degrees so that usually means the babies will arrive in about 24 hours. We will see....her milk is in and the babies are moving around vigorously.

Tiny Tot's Tiny Imperial Puppies

We have some disappointing news to share.... Trixie is not expecting. It has taken me awhile to accept this because I have been looking forward to her babies. The x-ray showed no babies in her belly. :0( I thought she had a little pooch on her but I think that was just wishful thinking.

On the other hand, Choxie and Juicy are for sure expecting. Their bellies are growing and continue to get bigger. They are both due in about 2 weeks now, so it won't be too much longer. :0)

We have been really busy here working on finishing our room, it is coming along very nice, but a little slow. I know we will get there.....hopefully sooner than later. :0)

Bon Bon and her daughter Beyonce went home to Danielle on Friday. She is a wonderful mom and was a huge lifesaver for me and Gemma's babies. They are doing wonderful and are as cute as can be. While I was in visiting Danielle, I picked up our newest Tiny Tot addition. He is a tiny chocolate boy who has wonderful tiny lines behind him. We are calling him Jack Daniel's Luck E #7! Him and Jewel are quite the pair.....he loves her and has taken right to her. :0) I am hoping to get pictures of him this week to share.

Tiny Tot Shih Tzu catch up!

We have had quite a bit going on around here at Tiny Tot, thus the reason for the long delay in posting on the blog.
I was sick with the flu for a week and then we had to take my oldest son to the emergency room 2 weeks ago. One of the tubes within one of his testicles twisted and then got infected. The Dr. put him on an antibiotic and that was not working and he got worse so we had to go back to the Urologist and they put him on a stronger antibiotic which is working....thank God!
One of the worst things ever, is to watch your babies in pain. I felt so bad for him. He is well on his way to recovery and is getting along MUCH better now. :0) We are in the beginning of Alex's baseball season now and it has been a brutal season.
This is his first year of Minor League and we don't have the best pitchers....we are needing a little help and practice in that area. Thank goodness the games can only last 2 hours...usually in that 2 hours we only get through 2 maybe 3 innings. :0(

I am pretty sure Trixie is pregnant, she seems to have a little pooch on her, but she is not big at all so I am crossing my fingers that she is. Choxie is for sure pregnant....Danielle felt baby balls in her belly! I took Juicy to the vet yesterday for an ultrasound and she is confirmed pregnant!!!

We have decided to keep Lil' miss Jewel. She is so precious and since she is Gemma's baby girl she is a little bit extra special to me. I am thrilled we have decided to keep her.

This has been a super busy weekend....with all of the expected litters that will be arriving in June, we are working extra hard to get our Nursery completed. We have had a few setbacks along the way so it is taking longer than we expected. We put in the floor yesterday and today we will begin putting up the drywall. I am so excited about completing this project, it is going to be really nice having the extra room and my space! This is going to be Kim's room!!! I have been taking pictures for each thing we complete so as soon soon as it is all done I will post all of the pictures.

Peanut, Jewel, Peeps, and his sister are all doing terrific! They have started to walk and get better at it everyday. Peanut and Jewel like to grab their paws with their mouths and tug on them, it is really cute. Jewel started tugging on Bon Bon's face and she just layed there and let her do it. Bon Bon is such a good mommy. They are all still fat puppies, now that they have started walking they will start slowing down a little bit. The next couple of weeks is my favorite puppy time because the puppies are walking and just starting to play with each other. Starting about week 6 - 12, I consider that their "terrible 2" stage - lol! They learn a lot during that time from each other and their mom on the no - no's, this is also when potty pad training begins. They become busy little bodies and get cuter by the day!

Jewel, Peanut, Peeps, and Beyonce are now walking! It is the cutest thing ever. Beyonce was over in a corner by herself and got up on all four legs and walked to her mom - Bon Bon. Peeps is a little rolly polly who eats non-stop. It is funny to watch him walk, he is a little chunk. I love to watch Peanut and Jewel sleep. They sleep on their backs just like Gemma used too. This is when things start to get fun and the puppies get really cute! Their little personalities will start to develop over the next several weeks, I am sure they are going to be sweet, loving, and sassy just like their mom and dad. :0)

The Puppies Eyes Are Open!!!

I have been waiting and waiting for Peanut and Jewel's eyes to open and they FINALLY did today. :0)
Puppies eyes usually open between 10 - 14 days. These two are tiny little tots and now that their eyes are open they can start to see the world. Here is a page I made this evening for them!

Alex was sick Thursday and Friday but he is finally feeling better. He got some little bug in his system....
I think I have finally caught up on my sleep and am finally getting caught up on all of my housework and laundry.
I am soooo thankful to have Bon Bon here. I thank Danielle every day for letting her come stay with us. I do not even want to think what life would be like if she were not here....Peanut, Jewel, Peeps and his sister (Bon Bon's babies) are all doing wonderful. They are chunky healthy babies, now that Peanut and Jewel have a little bit of fat on them, their faces have that roll which is super cute. They are both going to have very flat baby doll faces. Their eyes are not open yet, but I couldn't resist....I had to take new pictures today, I swear they get cuter by the day! Puppies 1 week

I am very happy to report Peanut and Jewel are doing excellent. They are both growing nicely. I am so thankful to have Bon Bon here helping me. She has been a wonderful mom to them and literally a life saver to me. At night, I lay in the x-pen with them....I know Scott thinks I am a little crazy. I just love being close to them. I laid Jewel next to me and Bon Bon came over and tried to pick her up and take her from me. It was very sweet and just shows how much she cares about her babies.

We still miss Gemma dearly, I feel close to her by being close to her babies. I find myself out of the blue, asking where is Gemma. I know as time goes by it will hopefully get easier, but right now it is still very tough. It feels weird not having her come lay on my chest every night and paw at my chin. Or seeing her jump on Scott as soon as he laid down, she would like pounce on him and it was the funniest thing to watch. Then after I got comfortable and fell asleep, she always slept on my back or right between my legs at night so it is hard to get used to her not being here. It has been just over a week and still very hard. Bopsy and Gemma look like twins so when I look at Bopsy, I find myself calling her Gemma. We do miss our little peanut dearly.

The puppies eyes should be opening sometime this week or early next week. I can't wait to see them with their eyes open. I will be taking new pictures this weekend, it is fun to watch them grow from week to week.

Puppy Bonding

Yesterday was a very long and exhausting day. I woke up at 4:30 to meet Danielle in Omaha to pick up Bon Bon and her babies. Bon Bon is such a WONDERFUL girl, she absolultely loves these babies like her own. Danielle and I sat in my car with her and the babies and she let them nurse right away and then started licking them all over like they were her own. I put her and all of the puppies in a basket in my front seat and drove home. They all did so well. Last night, I got to sleep!!!! I have Bon Bon and the babies right next to my bed so I woke up twice because I heard a puppy whining, they were just trying to get comfortable, so I snuggled them really close to Bon Bon and they were fine. :0) Peanut and Jewel have nice round bellies and they are gaining weight! They bonded so well with Bon Bon, and she really thinks they are hers!! I feel like a new person today and I am getting ALOT done!!! I took pictures and will be posting them on my website today. They are all so adorable. It was so cute, while I was taking pictures, I take the pictures on my kitchen counter. I put everyone in a basket and put them on the counter, then took one puppy out at a time, Bon Bon sat up and tried to put her head through the wholes, her eyes her nose were peeping through so she could see what I was doing with them. I can not thank Danielle enough for meeting me yesterday and letting me bring Bon Bon and her babies to my home. It was a long day for both of us.....but well worth it!
